In a bid to encourage users to use the internet over their mobile phones, Aircel has launched the Packet Internet 24 data plan. The plan is offered at Rs. 24 and is valid for 30 days, thereby offering the user the internet at less than Re. 1 per day.
Speaking about this, Aircel�s Circle Business Head in Chennai Murthy Changanti said, �Customers will be able to download applications, surf the net and stay connected with family and friends. India has the third largest number of mobile Internet users in the world and is adding 70 million users a year� These customers have never experienced the Internet on their phones due to limited awareness.
�Pocket Internet 24 is aimed at tapping this segment and driving Internet adoption among first time users� The product will offer higher validity at a lower price to ensure ample time for customers to learn about and understand the use of the Internet on their mobile phones.�
